I am very pleased to be able to live in one of the safest parts of the country. I won't be wearing a stab vest when out canvassing in April. Unfortunately there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour in some areas which has led to an increase in fear of crime in South Cambs.

Liberal Democrats will lobby for an increase in fully-trained police offices in the villages. This is heavily impacted by national politics: the Labour government wants to spend billions of pounds on a national identity card scheme that will achieve nothing but turn the UK into a police state and will not deter terrorism. The Liberal Democrats instead promise thousands more police offers across the kingdom. Those who are at risk of engaging in anti-social behaviour will have more diversionary opportunities through grant-aided preventative programmes.
